Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate
We depart at 8:00 AM for our 4-day adventure from Marrakech to Fes, crossing the High Atlas mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Our first stop is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a famous filming location often referred to as the "Hollywood of Africa." We continue to Ouarzazate for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Ouarzazate - Dades Valley - Todra Gorges
Leaving Ouarzazate, we head towards Dades Gorges, passing through the scenic Valley of Roses with its beautiful almond and fig fields. Along the way, we'll encounter charming villages before reaching Todra Gorges, where we'll stay overnight in a Kasbah.
Day 3: Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga Dunes (Erg Chebbi) Camel Excursion - Night in Desert
Our journey continues towards Erfoud through arid landscapes and volcanic mountains. We'll pass through Tinjedad, known for its fossil factories, before reaching the breathtaking Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Enjoy a camel trek into the dunes to our Berber tented camp for a magical night in the desert.
Day 4: Merzouga - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Azrou - Ifrane - Fes
After breakfast, we ride camels back to the hotel for a quick shower before departing for Fes. En route, we stop to admire panoramic views of the Ziz Valley. We continue through the High Atlas mountains, stopping in Midelt for lunch. Passing through Azrou with its cedar wood forest and Ifrane known for its architecture and nearby monkey population, we finally arrive in the legendary city of Fes to conclude our memorable desert journey.
