Explore the captivating landscapes and cultural heritage of Jebel Saghro on this 9-day trek. Situated to the south of both the Dades Valley and the Atlas Mountains, Jebel Saghro, known as the “middle mountain,” boasts a rich concentration of silver ore. This region serves as a gateway to the Sahara and is renowned for its volcanic geological formations and ancient petroglyphs dating back to the Neolithic period. The caves scattered across the landscape continue to be utilized by nomads and their livestock as shelters and granaries during their seasonal migrations.
Day 1
Arrival at Marrakech airport and transfer to a Riad in the vibrant Medina.
Day 2
Departure from Marrakech, crossing Tizi-n-Tichka (2262m) to reach Youl (1500m).
Day 3
Trek from Ait Youl (1500m) to Tidkkit (1670m).
Day 4
Continue from Tidkkit, crossing Tagmout Pass (1913m), to Assaka (1584m).
Day 5
Trek from Assaka (1584m) to Ighazoun (1250m).
Day 6
Journey from Ighazoun to Igli (2000m).
Day 7
Trek from Igli (2000m) to Imi n-Ouarg (1850m).
Day 8
Continue from Imi n-Ouarg to Tagdilt (1650m).
Day 9
Transfer back to Marrakech.
